Secure a date for the mediation session.
Confidentiality signed by all participants.
Submit information regarding the conflict (most do this in writing via their attorney).
Private phone calls to clarify and lay the ground work.
Honest and deeply-human conversations at the mediation session to clarify all perspectives.
We negotiate the best possible deal that gets a ‘yes’ from everyone.
You move forward with your life - uncluttered - and get back to other business.
Participation in mediation is voluntary. So, all parties in a dispute must agree to (1) mediate in good faith and (2) hire Mr. Geckeler to serve as the mediator.
There are a couple more nuances, which we will happily discuss. But those are the broad strokes.

Mediation. Parties to a conflict voluntarily come to the negotiating table, and guided by Bret, find the best possible agreement.
Facilitated Negotiation. A type of mediation which differs only because it does not require all parties to meet for a longer session. It entails multiple shorter meetings - often by phone - to negotiate and reach resolution. Please inquire.
Negotiation & Communication Coaching. Inquire to learn if you may be a fit for hourly negotiation coaching. Typical examples might include an upcoming difficult conversation amonst business partners or involving a family estate.

I charge a flat rate at booking. Rates vary for different types of cases, and I offer half-day and full-day session rates.
